Pet Flippers Exposed is moving off of Facebook

By now you've probably noticed our Facebook name has been changed. The name of the page is now simply, Animal Welfare Watch. We hope that you will continue to find the page useful as we roll with the times in 2019. Animal Welfare Watch on Facebook will now be covering much more than just pet flippers.

Why the change? 

There are actually a multitude of answers to that question but here's the short one.

We have a great audience and realize there are far more animal issues out there than just pet flippers that we all need to be talking about. Up until now we have limited the page topic to pet flippers, but as times change, so must we.

From here on out you'll see animal welfare topics of all kinds on the Facebook page. Issues surrounding not only pet flippers, but all animal welfare in general; the good, the bad, and the ugly.

In the beginning, we started Pet Flippers Exposed specifically because 1) Pet flipping was a growing issue that few people were aware of and 2) we wanted to start a database for these vile people.

Pet flippers will still be reported through and recorded on this blog. We are not dissolving we are simply moving out of the Facebook neighborhood. 

All newly posted pet flippers and updates will still be shared through the Animal Welfare Watch Facebook page, and others. We just won't be keeping shop in the neighborhood.

The performance we all recently witnessed on the Facebook page with Crystal was priceless. I am almost speechless. Almost. It might have been shocking had I not known from the beginning what was happening.

Par for the course our Facebook page may disappear again. If it does, we hope to see you back in 30 or so days.

In the meantime, we've set up the blog to be a little more user friendly and added the ability for people to subscribe to email notifications from the blog. 

Just click the subscribe button at the top of any page on the blog. Enter your email address and wha-la, you are subscribed. 

We don't collect email addresses so there is no chance of us sharing yours.

You can comment on the blog just like you do on Facebook but without the scrutiny. The only thing that we'll filter is violence or threats.

Oh look, a pet flipper is going to make us all famous!

I cannot begin to describe to you the nine kinds of crazy that contacts this page. We just can't make this shit up.

We are posting this here because we know from experience with Alicia Ruff, that when little snowflakes cry bully, even if they are the bully themselves, Facebook will pull down everything that we've posted about them. (We still have Alicia's profile on here, but when Facebook deleted our posts about her, they deleted hundreds of screenshots in the process. There were no backups. Lesson learned.)

So here we are.

We saw the first message come in and just ignored it and hoped Crystal would get bored and go away. If the first paragraph doesn't roll your eyes into the back of your head, well........



Six and then eight hours later she is still coming strong. It was a very busy day and we were handling legitimate reports coming in.

Crystal was a pet flipper looking for validation, an argument, or both, and that was obvious.

When I realized than none of the other Admins were going to respond, I had a go at it. I just answered her questions as rational as I could and hoped that would be the end of it.

But no.

It's reported she's living in a small rental with dozens of animals.

We are uncertain of the number of pets that have died at this time, but we have reports of several dogs and puppies purchased from Lisa that have died shortly after they were purchased. 

Lisa is offering her services to SPAY & NEUTER animals for $10 each. YES, she is doing the spaying and neutering!!!  She is offering to give animals vaccinations for a fee! 
DO NOT ALLOW LISA TO PROVIDE VETERINARY CARE FOR YOUR ANIMALS!! ******* SHE IS NOT A LICENSED VET!

Acquires and flips animals in all areas mentioned through buy/sell/trade/yard sale pages on FB and throughout Craig’s List.

Lisa poses as a licensed rescue to acquire animals as well as offering to foster animals for shelters, rescues, and individuals.

Lisa is also a scam artist beyond the flipping of animals setting up gofundme accounts and claiming the money goes to charities such as the American Cancer Society. She also claims that the money she makes from flipping animals is donated to charities.

Lisa has been back at it on Craig's List as of August 2018.

The most recent scam was a gofundme account for veterinary expenses for two pit bulls that were supposedly stabbed but when references were checked the dogs were found to be in excellent health.
It is possible she is currently running an operation called "Pit Crew Rescue".

Lisa has been banned from adopting/pulling any dogs from ANY shelter in the Charlotte, NC area.

Four or so years ago she ran an illegal rescue off of Shopton Rd in Charlotte, and was closed down. She vanished from the area shortly after. The dogs she had in the house she called a RESCUE were sick, loaded with fleas, malnourished and had no water except dirty mop water. They were stuffed in cages, too many to a cage! It was heartbreaking.

This girl has been in some serious trouble with the law for her animal flipping transactions. Not only does she troll buy/sell/trade pages to acquire animals, she poses as a rescue and pulls animals from shelters and rescues. Woman again charged with animal cruelty

 For the second time in less than a year, a Caldwell County woman has been charged with animal cruelty, and this time she is accused of neglecting 52 dogs, two goats, a pig and an iguana — an accusation she adamantly denies.
Lisa Marie Hendren Meatyard, 36, who has previously used the last names Lewis and Hendren, is accused of depriving a menagerie of animals of “necessary sustenance” and medical attention and of allowing them to live in “crowded and unsanitary conditions,” according to court documents.
